  • How would you describe your photography style?

I am a traditionalist.  I love old New England style houses.  I like hot fudge and whipped cream on my sundae; none of that gooey marshmallow topping for me, thanks.  I don’t like catsup on my eggs, and I love nothing more than sharing stories with my family over dinner and a glass of wine.

Though I may be traditional in my every day life, I am not your traditional wedding photographer.  While I do take classic formal images, what I love is capturing the moments.  My hope is that you will one day look back at your pictures and remember not just the day, but the exact moment when your bridesmaid was laughing so hard that she snorted just as I snapped the shutter.

Your wedding is about you, and I want to capture that.  If you are someone who is generally found in flip flops, I will photograph you in your flip flops on your wedding day.  If you are a couple who loves roller coasters then I want to take your engagement photos on a roller coaster!

My goal is to creatively and artistically tell a story. Your story.

  • What are the benefits of having a second photographer?

I often bring an assistant to help me throughout the day.  This assistant is not a second shooter, they do have a camera and do shoot but their primary goal is to assist me in anyway and secondly to be taking images.  It is always an option for any wedding to add a second photographer.

Having a second photographer is a great option because it allows me to be in once place, like with the bride getting ready, and the second shooter to not miss a moment of the groom goofing off with his guys while trying to figure out how to tie a bow tie.  Its always nice to have two angles and you never worry about missing a moment.

  • What are engagement portraits?

Engagements are a fun casual session for the bride and groom before the wedding.  These photos
are often used in save the dates, invitations and as a newspaper announcement photograph.  It is also a great way for me to get to know the bride and groom  before the actual wedding day.  I hate showing up at the wedding ask having to ask which guy in a tux is the groom.

  • How soon can I see my photos after the wedding day?

Typically images are posted in a personal online gallery for viewing within 4 weeks.  Disks are delivered with your album.

  • What is a “dvd of proofs”?

A dvd of high resolution images from your wedding is available as an add on to any package.  These images are not individually touched up.  With the disk you get a limited copyright release form which

allows you to take the disk and have prints made.
